Yoga teaches us mindfulness, in every aspect of our lives. Every breath. Every movement. Every interaction. Every relationship. Everything we do becomes more mindful, as we become more consciously connected to the self.

"To love with no intentions. To love with no expectation. To love for love’s sake”. The phrases became like a warm blanket for me at the end of every physically demanding, heart opening and spiritually uplifting class I took with Sarah. I was lucky enough to move to Tahoe and found Sarah’s classes at a local yoga studio. I was hooked immediately and followed her from studio to studio. She typically begins her classes with a story about various Hindu gods who we then briefly chant in devotion to. It’s such a nice way to start class and start the connection between mind and body. Sarah’s classes are very light hearted and playful while at the same time always physically challenging. Whether it’s breaking down the basics of downward dog or working on inversions or arm balances, Sarah reminds you to have fun with yoga and not to take it too seriously. She even throws in a dance party once in awhile- her playlists are always amazing! Sarah is wise beyond her years and is a really wonderful person. I’m so happy to call her my teacher and my friend.

Sarah makes any studio the one you want to go to. She places a constant emphasis on love and openness in her practice, moves at a natural pace, and doesn't teach cookie cutter classes. Every session is unique and connected to the people in the room. Plus, she has great playlists.

From the very first class I was hooked on Sarah's class. She combined music and yoga that transformed the class into a energetic sanctuary. When I leave her classes, I feel spiritually polished as though I have experienced a deep form of prayer. She begins class by drawing attention inward, to a pure space from which a student can set intention. From here she weaves Yogic wisdom and encourages mindfulness as she slowly awakens the body through the practice of Yoga postures. Her classes are both subtle and rigorous.

I met Sarah at Mountain Lotus Yoga, she was giving weekend classes. For being such young, tiny girl, her personalty is huge and she is like a hundred years old, wise like! She made us chant and express ourselves not only physically but with all of our souls! She would talk about Hindu Gods and Deities that I didn't know..I love Sarah, we've became friends and I would value that friendship always, miss you kid!!

Sarah's dedication and passion as a yogini and teacher have been an inspiration in my life since the first day we met. Her genuine and heart-centered presence imbues her students with a sense of appreciation and true grace. There is an ancient knowing in her young, earthly embodiment that is exalting yet playful, wonderfully facilitating the exploration and unfolding of ones self and practice. Cues and corrections are delivered gently with effective guidance. My life and practice have truly been blessed by the devotional and loving way Sarah lives and works.Thank you for shining so, Sarah!

I've done all sorts of yoga for the entirety of my adult life in various cities across the world, and Sarah is truly extra special. She has a away off connecting everyone in the room and creating a warm, safe space for you to practice. Her flows are always different and unique, yet somehow exactly what you need in that moment, and the music that she so thoughtfully curates brings the soul alive. Go try her class!!

Sarah's one of my favorite Shefa Teachers. She has a love of her craft and community, and takes extra effort to make sure everyone feels welcome. This is a fun adventure in heated yoga. Flow sequences build up from a gentle start so you're well prepared for the more energetic power poses that follow. Chanting at the start and yelling at the top of your lungs (literally) towards the end of the class punctuate a diverse and well sequenced playlist.
